After spending ten years
between the Hillsdale and Litchfield police
departments, Captain Dave Braxmaier joined the
Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office in March
of 1980. In his career with the HCSO, he
has earned several commendations for performance
in the line of duty. Captain Braxmaier has
extensive training in tactics used to combat
domestic violence and criminal sexual conduct,
as he is a very strong supporter of tracking
sexual predators to prevent crimes against our
children. He has extensive training in
interviewing and interrogation methods, as well.
As the Captain of Investigations, Captain
Braxmaier oversees the Detective Bureau,
reviewing all major complaints and
investigations as well as overseeing the
Evidence Tech Unit and the Drug Unit.
