Sergeant John Reed has
spent 13 years of service with the Hillsdale
County Sheriff's Office. In that time,
he has worked in road patrol, youth services and
the Emergency Response Team (ERT). He has
completed the 160-hour Corrections Training
program and the counter-drug ERT training.
He is the ERT sniper team leader and has
completed training in the FBI Basic and Advanced
Sniper Schools. He has also completed the
Operational Tactics Advanced Sniper School and
is a firearms instructor for both handguns and
shotguns. Sergeant Reed is also trained in
the physical tracking of suspects and is
certified in the investigation of clandestine
(meth) labs.
