The Hillsdale County
Sheriff's Office offers a variety of
training programs for the public and those
interested in a career in law enforcement.
From hunter safety and firearm training to
Mounted Division and Reserve training, the
Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office can help.
The Sheriff’s Office has many state certified
instructors in areas such as firearms, PPCT,
less lethal usage, basic radar, emergency
response to terrorism, chemicals and tasers.
These instructors provide a solid base of
instruction for deputies from the Sheriff
Office and for surrounding agencies of the
City of Hillsdale, the Village of Jonesville,
the City of Reading, the City of Litchfield, and
the Somerset Township Police Departments.
Officers from outside Hillsdale County have
attended classes presented by our instructors as
well.
